Aidan Joyce

AJoyce Headshot.jpg

Aidan Joyce is a New York based singer, actor, and Mets fan who specializes in vocally complex, ensemble-driven music theatre. His wide ranging vocal influences include The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Green Day, John Raitt, and most critically, his grandmother, whose jazz vocal group The J’s With Jamie, were nominated for Best New Artist at the 1963 Grammy’s.

With these influences, he has developed his unique sound, combining a powerful baritenor resonance with a gritty and nuanced upper register, allowing him to feel comfortable in any musical style.

In Aidan’s favorite role to date: Toby, in OCTET, he was able to utilize all aspects of his voice, while also exploring a character experiencing a nihilistic spiral. His other recent favorite credits include the world premiere musical A WRINKLE IN TIME, NONE: A PRACTICAL BREVIARY, and RENT. Each of these projects were challenging, enriching, and reflected a belief in theater to make change. This is the kind of work that Aidan hopes to be doing for the rest of his career.
